Tom Keating

The 'gloom & doom' has been a popular approach that many groups have utilized in raising awareness about Methamphetamine. MEADA is evolving from the message of "Meth Kills" to "Drugs Destroy" & "Making Hope Happen". MEADA aims to bring hope and support to those recovering from substance abuse, educating parents on what to look for in their children if they suspect substance abuse and to help our children understand that drug abuse is not okay.

Mr. Tom Keating embodied the message of hope and made it happen everyday by changing youth's lives everyday through his sincere dedication to what's best for them. His involvement in the creation of MEADA is something all MEADA members are grateful for and will never forget. TK always gave his audiences an assignment at the end of his speeches and we want to carry that on through our connection with you.

Think about how powerful a simple gesture as this could be in a life of a child. Next time you see a child or teen you don't know, whether it is at work, school, church, on the street or while you are out shopping, simply say "Hi!" Making a connection is what it is all about. Children yearn for acceptance and for them to know people acknowledge them rather than ignore them is a powerful statement.
